
According to Associated Press, Apple has signed a contract with local governments to complete its plans for a new Prineville datacenter. Having agreed for a $250 million investment in facilities on its 160-acre piece of ground, the company will also pay a yearly “project fee” to the tune of $150,000 million instead of property taxes during the next fifteen years. In addition, Apple promised to add a minimum of 35 jobs at the center with a 50% pay rise as compared to an average wage in the county.
