Developers Gain Ability to Download New Betas via Software Update in OS X 10.8.3

Slightly more than a week following the arrival of its latest OS X 10.8.3 release, Apple has issued another beta of its Mac operating system, adding the ability to download and install pre-release builds straight from Software Update in the Mac App Store for its developer community, similar to how fresh updates can be obtained by regular consumers. Allegedly identified as “build 12D38,” the software introduces a tool dubbed  “OS X Software Update Seed Configuration Utility,” notifying users that there is an update available for download. Apple will also reportedly continue sending standard email notifications.

OS X 10.8.2 Adds Facebook Support, New Options
