Apple has already informed its customers via email that the company is about to discontinue the Messages Beta software product for Lion. To be exact, that’s going to happen on 14 December, so users will have enough time to adapt to the upcoming change.

In its letter to users, the company told that its Messages Beta program would get canceled on December 14 and Apple hoped everybody has spent a good time with this software product.  Nevertheless, users won’t lose a lot as they still have an opportunity to go on using their beloved Messages.

Apple Posts and Pulls Mountain Lion Up-to-Date Online Form on the Mac App Store

During the Mountain Lion unveiling event at this year’s WWDC, Apple announced an Up-to-Date program providing a free upgrade to the new system once it hits the market for any customer who obtains a Mac on or after June 11th. Since the company is planning to distribute OS X 10.8 solely through digital download, the free upgrade is actually a redemption code for the online venue.
