
Topeka’s analyst Brian White expects Apple to announce its much discussed high-definition TV set 2 to 6 months before official launch. Proving his point of view, he refers to the past releases. While the company unveiled the original iPhone in January of 2007, it became available for consumers only in June. Likewise, the first iPad was announced in January of 2010, but didn’t hit the shelves until April.
Since then, Apple launches new iPhone and iPad hardware one to two weeks after the announcement. With the first versions, however, the company took its time to better prepare for the release event.
