Alongside its new iPhone, Apple introduced the seventh iPod nano and the fifth iPod touch. The Nano has gone taller and nearly 50% thinner. The most notable tweaks are a 2.5-inch touchscreen, a smaller ‘Lightning’ dock connector featured on the iPhone 5 and a home button, just like that seen on the rest of iOS products.

Original iPad, iPad touch 3rd generation left out in iOS 6

Just ahead of this year’s WWDC event, links for a new iOS 6 build appeared online for a bunch of Apple products. Strangely enough, the latest beta version omitted the first-generation iPad or previous iPod touch models, although there was a link for the iPhone 3GS. All of the download links which used to be available earlier are now expired and don’t function.

Following reports of a 3.95-inch iPhone with a taller form factor, purported pictured of next-gen iDevice components hit the web. The most notable of these parts is an alleged front panel from the new 4.1-inch iPod touch, which is also said to be taller than its predecessor. If Apple wanted to upgrade the iPhone and iPod with larger displays, it would definitely use the same screen size for both devices. Given this, reports of a 3.95-inch iPhone and 4.1-inch iPod just don’t quite line up, although all of the claims are in the same general size range.
