Judging from an error message popping up in the latest iOS 6 beta for Apple TV, the company’s set-top box may be getting iBooks support. The notification is shown after downloading an electronic title from the iBookstore, saying that the unit made an attempt to automatically download the e-book, but couldn’t access it due to the lack of proper software.

iTunes sends a similar error message to other iOS devices, like the iPhone and iPad, as well. But, unlike the Apple TV, those products can access the App Store and automatically download content.
