A recent tip from the Far East claims that Apple’s 15-inch MacBook Pro will arrive by the end of April. While featuring a thinner design than that of its predecessor, the new laptop will still be thicker than the MacBook Air. The company will reportedly equip the device with Core i5 and Core i7 Ivy Bridge chipsets. That would be a change from the existing MacBook Pros. While both 15-inch notebooks sport high-end Core i7 CPUs, the i5 powers the entry-level 13-inch MacBook Pro.

Both CNET and VentureBeat have been tipped that Apple’s third-generation tablet will be named so to emphasize the double-resolution 2048×1536 display. While still going mainly on word, the moniker surfaced after accessory retailers had the soon-to-arrive device listed as “iPad HD” rather than simply “iPad 3.”
