Google Tries to Outclass Apple’s Siri

Google Now Siri

Google has recently presented its latest upgrade of Android operating system. This Android 4.1 is also known as Jelly Bean and it comes with Google Now smart assistant. So if anybody wants to know about worthy restaurants out there relevant information including an alternate route will be delivered almost instantly. This advanced search-based feature grabs information from many sources such as a user’s calendar, location, history and Google Maps.

Though Google Now is currently coming with Android 4.1 for mobile phones, it’s expected to find new areas of applications soon. For example, there’s a high probability that PC users will take advantage of this soon. Most probably this feature will be provided via users’ Google accounts.

The Google Now voice service is considered to be a dangerous rival to Apple’s Siri, which came out along with the iPhone 4S last autumn. Google Now looks more attractive as it offers a number of Google’s worthy things including Maps and search working in real time. Another great advantage of Google Now is its capability to understand natural language.

To say the truth this software product has one downside arising each time a user needs to be informed about the approaching meeting. So to accomplish this relatively simple task Google Now should know much about its users, including their probable plans for the nearest future. Needless to say, this may sound suspicious so users aren’t likely to share their privacy with Google.

On the other hand, this intrusion into users’ private life is almost inevitable, because Google Now won’t be able to provide its services without relevant information about users.
