Following the long-awaited iOS 6 rollout, Apple has also officially launched OS X 10.8.2, a major Mountain Lion update adding system-wide Facebook integration across the company’s desktop platform. Having logged into their Facebook account from one place, users will now see the website as an option when sharing pictures and links. Moreover, Facebook notifications are synced with Notification Center, while friends’ profile info and user pics show up in Contacts.

iPhone 5 A6 Chip Outruns Intel Atom in SunSpider Test

On Wednesday, AnandTech obtained an iPhone 5 review sample to run an unofficial SunSpider v0.9.1 test on the JavaScript benchmarking tool. To the general surprise, Apple’s new dual-core A6 system-on-a-chip scorched through the benchmark in 914.7msec, easily outperforming the former leader Lava XOLO X900 at 1279.4msec. The second-place unit is powered by a single-core Intel Atom Z2460 Penwell system-on-a-chip based on the company’s Medfield platform.

Judge Koh Refuses to Overturn Preliminary Galaxy Tab 10.1 Ban
